Celebrating 32 years as the number one show in New York's Hudson Valley. "Summer Magic" at the Rhinebeck Fairgrounds is THE East Coast antiques show of the Summer! Arts Festival
Bard SummerScape
Bard's SummerScape opens with a gala on Independence Day and continues for seven weeks of opera, music, theater, dance, film, cabaret, circus & performance art. This year's festival revolves around "Prokofiev and His World," with a world premiere of the composer's Romeo & Juliet in its original, uncensored version, choreographed by Mark Morris; a double bill of opera from Polish composer Karol Szymanowski; Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya; George & Ira Gershwin's political satire Of Thee I Sing; and "Cinema Transcontinentale," a festival of 1930s films from America, Russia, and France. Meanwhile, in SummerScape's famous Spiegeltent or "tent of mirrors," enjoy a menu of cabaret, comedy, music & dance—and, from August 1 to 10, the New Albion Music Festival, the voice of West Coast new music for 25 years. Near-daily performances from July 4 through August 17.
